I decided to write a review of these Aurum Cantus 3 SE / CA speakers (the CA are the same as the SE but made for Canada). I received these speakers last night and the first thing I have to say is that the build quality is beyond anything I have ever seen before. They are packaged double boxed
The Proac Response 1SC and Merlin TSM are good examples. We all look for those rare components that break the price-performance barrier. I hoped the Leisure 2 SE would destroy this barrier. Kellsie AV Designs, the US distributor, was very helpful in bringing in the speakers for the review.
Decided to run the amps with my little Aurum Cantus Leisure 2SE speakers and once again they helped to fill in many of the answers I searched for. These are Chinese two-way speakers that use a 80mm Aurum Cantus G2 ribbon tweeter (Price for the tweeter $200) this is a super revealing and super fast speaker that has extension out to 35K Hertz and
The speakers are in high-gloss rosewood on the sides and black top, and are in very good condition. The 3SE features the famed Aurum Cantus G3Si ribbon tweeter ( longer & better power handling than the G2 ribbon ) and a 6.5" mid/woofer made of carbon-fibre/kevlar. The speaker is rear ported, and has heavy duty binding posts.

Have had the Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 SE hooked up for a couple of days and I am very impressed. I was apprehensive as the worst tales of Chinese QC came to mind when I thought of Chinese speakers, but these really punch above their price class (as far as I have heard).
